We do that LOCALLY through
GATHERINGS & COMMUNITIES.
Gatherings
Gatherings are when we get the whole family together to worship and learn how to follow Jesus through His Word and through the guidance and work of the Holy Spirit. We gather on Sundays at 10am and Wednesdays for prayer & worship at 6pm.
When we talk about multiplying gatherings, we mean that we want to send out and plant other local churches that carry the heartbeat of God for the people in that area and for what God wants to do there. One of the ways we support that vision is to bring on Church Planters in Residence who are connected in our church family and have an affirmed calling to serve the local church in some capacity. This is a 2-year residency, after which time we hope to send a team of believers alongside the person/couple to help them launch a new work in another location. The second way is by raising up leaders to pastor and care for communities and smaller groups of people in their homes both to meet a need and to prepare the leader for future leadership opportunities (see more below).
Communities
FC Communities are groups of people committed to meeting on a weekly basis. Our goal is to create environments centered around God’s Presence; Community, and Mission. We keep it simple—love God…love people…have a good time doing it.
We know small groups and communities are a common part of most churches, but we want to affirm that they’re not secondary to us or to the growth of the Body of Christ…they’re essential to becoming like Jesus. There’s nothing that forms us more deeply into the image of Christ than being committed to a consistent group of people over the long haul and learning to live in obedience to the way and teaching of Jesus with that same group of people.
